Adams & Martin Group is working with a prestigious law firm in Newport Beach seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant to support its Litigation Department. This in-office role works closely with the Litigation Resource Manager and attorneys handling all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation and case management support
- Draft, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and legal memoranda
- E-file documents in state and federal courts and assist with docketing and calendaring deadlines
- Manage ongoing court and case deadlines using firm software
- Organize and summarize case materials and correspondence
- Prepare charts, matrices, spreadsheets, and privilege logs
- Assist with arbitration and trial preparation
- Maintain accurate time records for billable work
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe, and NetDocuments
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Prior litigation experience as a legal secretary or junior paralegal preferred
- Proficiency with state and federal court e-filing
- Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and legal terminology
- Excellent written, verbal, and proofreading skills
- Highly organized with strong time-management and multitasking abilities
- Professional demeanor and ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
